Rhode Island Special Olympics Summer Games

In June, 40 volunteers, including employees and their family and friends, supported the Rhode Island Special Olympics Summer Games by assisting with the softball throw competition. Textron also supplied 12 E-Z-GO golf cars for the games that were used by staff and volunteers to move around the fields and buildings.

Chris, Tax Manager at Textron Corporate, reflects on his third time volunteering at the summer games, "the kids have so much energy and joy, it's such a fun event to go to."

For more than two decades, Textron and the Textron Charitable Trust have supported the RI Special Olympics with financial assistance, employees who have served on its board and volunteers.
